Mow has been playing WoW since the very beginning and hasn't even had any large breaks from the game because he's a huge loser.

Fun Facts

  • Played with inverted mouse for the first 8 years of the game.
  • Loves fat chicks and Pain Suppression.
  • Loves to do Battlegrounds and Arenas, just send him a tell if you want to play!
  • Loves Protodrakes.
  • Was initially one of the very few people to care about Achievements when they got first introduced and stopped eventually after doing Battlemaster PvP meta achievement. At one point was in the Top 10 for Achievement Points in the World.
  • Known for playing a ton of different alts and maintain each of them with their respective transmogs sets and legendaries.
  • Was one of the first real completionists when it came to pet collecting and was miles ahead of everyone for pet score both on wowprogress.com and warcraftpets.com.
  • Loves filling all the green bars. He was one of the dedicated few to get as many exalted reputations to exalted as possible including Shen'dralar (the dire maul rep), Scryer + Aldor during BC, and practically everything else to 999/1000 exalted.
  • Promoted to officer after Sycn quit. Eventually given Guild Leadership from Kendoch after he got bored and had started a new job.

Player History

Vanilla

Mow originally had zero interest in MMOs but all of his RL pals were going to play WoW and he was currently going to school in a different city so he saw it as a way to stay connected with his friends. It was agreed upon to roll on Destromath because it was a PVP server which everyone wanted to be on for some reason and because Rudger's then girlfriend's brother was in a "good guild". Originally Mow rolled a Tauren Druid, Adlksjre, and made it all the way to ~20 before he was informed that he would be healing at max level. The obvious solution was to delete the Druid and re-roll a Mage, Kabal. The deletion of the Druid because of not wanting to heal is especially funny because Mow would go on to heal for the majority of his WoW career. Mow and his friends leveled all the way to 60 in their guild, Equals D(=D). Upon reaching max level and beginning to do BRS and other max level dungeons Mow interacted with the CSM core more and more. Eventually he was invited to a full guild run of UBRS. On this run Mow totally tab targeted and frostbolted the spectators during the Rend event. We didn't wipe but he felt like a pro gamer. Most of Equals D was invited to CSM's first real MC raid. After the Lucifron kill, the =D members in attendance were extended g-invites to CSM.

Atena back when she was a troll.

Mow had no life and was thus present for 99% of the guild/realm first kills in Vanilla, missing only Razorgore and Loatheb. As CSM progressed through AQ40 Mow became increasingly bored of raiding on Kabal and expressed interest in switching to his fem Troll Priest, Atena. Eventually the Twin Emperors would push multiple Priests to quitting and a spot was open and it would be offered. Because he main switched, he had to play catch up with buying gear on Atena and ended up taking a bunch of non-tier pieces that otherwise were mostly unwanted for full DKP price because of zero sum system. This made getting actual BiS items pretty much impossible. Also because Atena missed the majority of Ony and BWL farming he did not have even reasonable healing trinkets. Atena would go on to use the Royal Seal of Eldre'Thalas all the way until 4HM, the 3rd to last fight in the entirety of Vanilla.

Mow had to let it all out.

TBC

Mow continued to main Atena throughout the entirety of TBC. During the latter stages of T5 progression he got kinda burned out on how overtuned and undertested the instances were and ended up taking a break for a couple of months. This was pretty much the only real break he would take from CSM's progression raiding in his history with the guild. Because of this break he missed the guild first kills on Kael'thas, Vashj, and the first few kills in Hyjal/BT. He returned to the raiding roster around the time the guild was working on Gurtog Bloodboil and Reliquary of Souls. The guild had some serious issues getting Conqueror Gloves to drop off of Azgalor and instead got shitloads of Vanquisher. One evening upon Jumanjii getting his 3rd set of Vanq gloves, so he had a set for every spec, when Atena still had not gotten a single pair, Mow took to drinking heavily. During a Kara run later that night Mow became extremely obnoxious ranting about "Off spec hat and gloves". Jumanjii eventually got really pissed off and told Mow that he was a loser as if he didn't already know. This was one of the contributing factors to Jumanjii quitting and CSM recruiting Juicyfrut, barf. Early in Sunwell progression Sycn got burned out and quit. Mow was then offered an officership. Mow quickly assumed his role of Officer in charge of being a dick.

Mow ran the Naxxramas Money Runs over the span of TBC and completed his and Scynzy's Atiesh, Greatstaff of the Guardians. He also used this as a way to accumulate shitloads of money.

Mow redid Atena's professions multiple times during TBC. Originally an Alchemist and Herbalist, her Herbalism would be switched first to Enchanting, then to Tailoring to use the Crafted Tailoring Sets as a catch up when returning to raiding after the short sabbatical. Tailoring would be dropped for Enchanting once again after the Primal Mooncloth set was no longer necessary. Like many other players during Sunwell Atena's Enchanting would be dropped again in favor of Leatherworking for drums as they provided a serious damage boost for fights that were super tight like M'uru. Finally Leatherworking was dropped at the end of TBC and Enchanting would become Atena's permanent second profession.

Wrath

Mow raided through the snoozefest that was Naxx2.0 and the rest of the opening tier of Wrath with a sort of malaise. After finishing Sunwell, one of the most tightly tuned and difficult raids in the game, the opening tier of Wrath was insulting. Especially since it took Naxx, one of Mow's (and honestly most of CSMs raiders that did it) absolute favorite raids in the game and totally butchered it. Ulduar was a breath of fresh air with actual interesting fights and hard modes that could challenge the seasoned raider. However some of these hard modes felt super overtuned (3 Tree Freya). As more and more CSM vets quit, they were replaced with Shitters or people that had really shit attitudes. This effect compounding eventually leading to the The Great WOTLK Cataclysm.

After CSM gave up competitive progression raiding at the start of TotC it turned into a casual guild. We would still run some 10m groups of TotGC and pug TotC 25m. When ICC came out CSM made a 10m group to work through the instance. Mow also got the itch to raid 25m again, but CSM was in no condition to field 25m raids and no one seemed to want to recruit for it. Many CSM raiders had moved on to other guilds to continue raiding. Many of which went to Great Men in History. Mow reached out to Pasteur, the GM of GMiH, to see if they needed an extra healer for their raids with the caveat that he would not drop CSM. Pasteur was apparently seriously in need of healers and Atena had a Val'anyr so he accepted. Mow raided the entirety of ICC 25m with GMiH all the way to clearing 11/12 Heroic with them. Upon spending 1 night of working on heroic Lich King and seeing that there was no way in hell they were ever going to kill it with that group he just quit showing up to their raids.

Warm up music for Freya's hard mode.

Character recustomizations were offered during Ulduar and the day they went live Mow race changed Atena from Troll to Blood Elf. To this day he has zero regrets about this decision.

Atena was nominated to receive the guild's first (and only during progression) Val'anyr, Hammer of Ancient Kings from Ulduar. About 2 weeks after completing the hammer he reached his breaking point with raiding and quit. This did not sit well with some people.

Cata

The advent of 10m = 25m raiding in Cataclysm saw CSM return to progression raiding, just on the smaller 10m scale. Mow raided on Atena for the entirety of Cata and was often the swing healer/DPS. Atena was the 4th in line behind Meatman's druid to get the Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest during Firelands. He was super salty about giving the embers to Meatman since he was bad and ended up just quitting before even getting close to finishing the staff. Atena would have to finish her staff mid way through Dragon Soul, often via PUGs. Mow played Atena as Holy for the majority of the expansion despite Discipline being arguably the stronger raiding spec. He would eventually give in and spec her Disc for the latter part of Dragon Soul.

Cata's "new oldworld" plus the addition of Wrath's Heirlooms made leveling characters very fast and fun. Mow was unemployed at the time and ended up leveling one of every class.

Near the end of the expansion, during the year long lull before MoP came out, Kendoch decided to let his subscription slip and promoted Mow to Guild Master.

MoP

MoP took the Holy vs Discipline argument and just destroyed it. Atena was relegated to Discipline for the entirety of the expansion. Mow was salty as fuck about this. Mow completed 4 sets of Challenge Modes during MoP, unlocking the challenge sets on his Priest, Paladin, Rogue, and Shaman (BAZOOKA SHOULDERS). During this expansion Mow began to enjoy his Rogue, Lisaloeb, more and more. Combined with a total lack of wanting to play Discipline on his priest and being able to be invisible while out in the world and thus not ganked, change was in the works.

More proof that Mow is gay.

WoD

WoD saw Mow change his main for the first time since AQ40. Although Mow considered Atena to still be his main character, he was raiding on Lisaloeb for all of WoD. Atena was still stuck as Discipline for all of WoD because Holy still sucked ass.

Mow completed and fully ilvl capped Legendary Rings on Atena, Lisaloeb, and Hihumi.

Mow abused his army of alts and the new Garrison table missions to accumulate millions of gold. He spent a lot of this on dumb shit like TCG pets and mounts.

Legion

With Holy Priest returning to glory in Legion Mow excitedly returned to maining Atena. As ToS farming set in Mow became bored with healing since Dunbaron was so try hard and there was often nothing to heal. Mow would just Smite dps for the majority of fights often hitting orange damage parses for Holy Priest.

Mow eventually decided to raid on his Demon Hunter, Rasis. Mow's legendarily bad legendary luck on Rasis quickly became the stuff of legend. The 2 BiS DH legendaries for ToS would be the last 2 Rasis would get for Havoc (see Anger of The Half-Giants). At least he didn't get the ring as the absolute last one like Ranoki.

PVP History

Mow LOVES to PvP.

Mow was never terribly excited about PVP in the World of Warcraft opting to abstain from the PVP zergfest that was Hillsbrad. With the release of Battlegrounds Mow would test the waters with Alterac Valley mostly because the rep rewards were really good but he wouldn't even queue for WSG until months after it had been in the game. Deep into Naxxramas progression, when Atena and other CSMers were super geared Mow finally took an interest in PVP grinding all the way up to rank 10 (Champion). After 2.0 launched the new currency style PVP system, Mow grinded enough honor to fully gear out Atena in HWL gear.

With the release of TBC Arenas were added to the game. Throughout TBC Mow participated in a lot of arena teams.

Some of Mow's most notable teams during TBC were:

Mow Partner(s) Comments
Discipline.png Atena
Frost.png Zelf
Once played a match against a team with Vrak. Spent about 20 minutes just bullshitting in /s with him and eventually Vrak's team just conceded. Also won a match when both Atena and Zelf were naked except for their weapons.
Discipline.png Atena
Rogue.png Lenora
Team had good synergy because Lenora got just as cranky about losing as Mow did.

Rogue.png Sycn
Sycn carried the team to Duelist rank with his Warglaive of Azzinoth.

Brax dropped Windfury and Bloodlusted and Mow plowed the shit out of people with the Lionheart Executioner. Beat Flez, Puuchan, and Lutes in a mirror match.
Mow Still enjoys PvP in Wrath of the Lich King.

With the introduction of Death Knights in WotLK Mow lasted about 2 weeks of Arena'ing in which Death Knights just absolutely dumpstered on him repeatedly before swearing off of it. He continued to grind out the Battlemaster achievement but did so with no pleasure. PVP in Wrath sucked out the soul of Mow. The only PVP Mow would do in subsequent years was one Battleground during Cata when he was really drunk and the required Battlegrounds necessary to get the Shrouds of the Celestials.

In Legion season 3/4 the Elite Priest PVP set was absolutely LIT and Mow had to have it. He recruited Maka to be his 2s parterner. In their quest to get to 2000 rating they made it all the way to 1850 and then just stopped playing. Mow never got his sweet Elite Priest set and he's still a little salty about it.
