Anger of The Half-Giants
A legendary demon hunter ring introduced along side the class that actually alowed them to be a consistantly viable dps. The ring was only available to those had sacrificed enough. As a rule you had to spend months as the inferior second demon hunter before your character was able to discover it. Was basically nerfed every patch throughout the Leigon expansion as the dev team "fixed" the fury generation mechanics for Havoc.
As is to be expected the first demon hunter in CSM to obtain the ring was none other than The Betrayer himself. After several months of "carrying m+ all day" and constantly bitching to Dunbaron about being unable to match Keith's DPS Rahgnar (Maka) was able to obtain it in a fateful 3 chest arcway run. This allowed him to slowly close the dps between him and the betrayer until eventually the bertrayer lived up to his namesake and stopped playing legion in favour of DOTA 2. Rahgnar, using the power of AotHG was able to ascend to the position of highest dps demon hunter while still maintaining his rank as the shittiest demon hunter.
Later in the expansion during ToS, inspired by Dippy's constant main swapping Mow switched from Atena to Rasis adding a second demon hunter back into the main raid team. Thus begun his journey of pain and sacrifice to obtain the "good demon hunter legendaries" (See AotHG). He was told he needed to make the ultimate sacrifice to gain the power of the ring; but since he refused to delete the long legacy of Atena his penance was to get literally every other demon hunter legendary before AotHG became available to him.
