Mergers and acquisitions is a subdepartment of CSM chaired by Shadowalker during his tenure as officer.
The topic arose at the start of Burning Crusade, which saw the brief emergence of Cool Duders as a force to be reckoned with in Heroic Mechanar and beyond. Shadowalker, ever the shrewd recruitment officer, saw a prime opportunity for CSM to merge with CD, allowing for CSM to shed bad players like Revalation, stave off recruitment woes for all of eternity, and usher in a new era of farming bosses for rogue arena gear.
Upon bringing the issue up for consideration with the other officers, Shadowalker was awarded leadership of the mergers and acquisitions department by Kendoch.
