Turn-In

Turn-In was a World of Warcraft mod discovered by members of CSM while the guild was clearing through Blackwing Lair. The mod automates the process of proceeding through an NPC dialogue and turning in any completed quests.

Intended Uses

The mod immediately caught on with hardcore players because of the time it could save a player in many different situations. Turn-In alleviated much of the monotony of completing Alterac Valley turn-ins by allowing the user to complete such a turn-in by simply right-clicking on the NPC one time. However, the mod's full power was found in Felwood. By enabling Turn-In and right-clicking repeatedly on cleansed Night Dragon's Breaths and Whipper Root Tubers, a player could easily obtain thirty or more of these items from a single spawn. Perhaps even more incredible was that multiple players could perform this simultaneously off of one spawn. As guild officer Shadowalker demanded that raid healers come prepared to raids with a full complement of consumables including fifty Night Dragon's Breaths, mastery of this technique was essential for much of Blackwing Lair and AQ40.

The Nefarian Incident

Religious use of Turn-In is also at fault for one of the more incredulous wipes to raid content in CSM's long and illustrious history. At Nefarian, Stormcrow made the mistake of talking to the Lord Victor Nefarius NPC with Turn-In enabled. The mod automated process through the dialogue, triggering the start of the Drakonid zerg event while much of the raid was not ready to begin. The result was a spectacular wipe, and fifteen more minutes of waiting (as dictated by the respawn timer on the Nefarius NPC following a phase one wipe.

AQ20

Upon first entering the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj, a few players including Stormcrow, Infinite (among others) had turn-in enabled and spoke with Lieutenant General Andorov, the NPC who spawned after killing Kurinaxx, causing the second boss event to begin, although no one knew what was going on. This turned into a trend, where people would just talk to Lieutenant General Andorov while loot was being divvied up to hurry things along.
