The Great Character Restore Caper
An epic mass-deletion of all Hrangar's characters in an attempt to restore probably the worst-geared paladin in all of Warcraft. Sadly, the restorations of not only his paladin, but all his original characters was successful. However, CSM had the last laugh and while Hrangar's characters were deleted several CSM members hijacked his old alt names forcing him to choose new(and even worse) names.

Hello!
First off I'd like to say that I've been playing WoW since release, and I am greatful for your help in advance.
My account name is dyehead.
I have 9 characters on Destromath Horde. 5 are level 60 or above. The other 4 are level 26, 26, 26, and 14 (I don't really really need these)
I started as a Dwarf Paladin on Alliance, and deleted him and switched sides because the alliance at the time were full of racists and bigots etc, and I wanted to be more focused on serious PVE efforts.
Instead of violating TOS and selling my account or whatnot, in March or April of '05 I deleted my Paladin (Hrangar) and recreated Hrangar as an Undead Priest on horde. I have since risen up in the top horde guild on the server CSM as a premier raiding priest etc.
I wrote an in-game ticket before stating my desire to restore my paladin and then transfer him off of the server to play with my old friends from alliance. They told me that horde and alliance characters cannot coexist on the same pvp server, and that I'd have to delete my characters.
Seeing as I have 3 level 70's a level 65 and a 61, it would be a tremendous waste of my time/effort to just delete those for 1 level 60 paladin.
BUT.... here's the workaround MAYBE? What if I deleted all of my characters? Could I get my paladin restored and transfer him then? Could I then get all of my current characters restored? Would I lose anything? Is there a 'best time' to do this? Like after a character backup of some sort so that when restored, my characters aren't missing anything? What is the turnaround time for an operation like this?
The obvious and most simple solution is for someone to just restore my character "Hrangar" the dwarf paladin from March of '05 to the server 'Nazjatar' from 'Destromath'. I would gladly pay the $25 transfer fee.
If you are able to contact people by phone, my cell # is xxx.xxx.xxxx... It's much appreciated.

Greetings Sebastian,
Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.
I am afraid that the only way this would be possible would be as the previous Game Master stated, you'd need to delete your Horde characters and then have the Alliance character restored. You could as you said, then transfer him where you wish and then have the deleted Horde characters restored. I would warn that this process would likely require the use of some of the limited restorations for your account. I can say that you have already made use of two restorations in the past. Each account has a limited number of restorations for the life of the account. Each restoration you receive could prevent the next, so it is a good idea to be sure this restoration is worth it. As to the state of your characters, they will always come back exactly as they were before they were deleted. As long as you don't sell off their gear or something like that before you delete them, they will come fully equipped. I will warn that as some time span will be involved between restoring the Alliance character and then our being able to restore the Horde characters, this process will likely require two restoration uses and again, I'd like to warn that these types of restorations are extremely limited. If you do wish to go through with the process, it would be best to submit another petition and explain what it is you plan to do.

Hi,
So I guess the question at this point is:
Do I have enough restorations to do what I want to do?
How come restorations don't 'roll off' after a while? From what I remember, both of my restorations were for things that are now 'fixed' in the game... I accidentally sold my devout shoulders (there is buyback now) and I accidentally deleted my mount on my warrior Swiffer.. (which you now have to confirm by typing 'DELETE')
I'm obviously not a habitual screwup, as these things both happened nearly 2 years ago.. and I've been a loyal paying customer for 2.5 years, and have gotten about 4 other people to start playing. It would make it wasy easier if you guys could just restore and transfer my character at the same time, that way I never had 2 chars on different factions on a pvp server.. I know at one point a former guild member had both of his characters (horde and alliance) on the same server (destromath) until he transferred his off.. why can't I do that? I can promise you I'll never log on as the character, I just want to transfer him. He's likely naked with no money etc, and I don't care.. I just want to move him (My Dwarf Paladin) to Nazjatar. Again, I'll pay the $25 fee or whatever.. and if it's an extra charge to do it differently, I'd pay the extra charge.. (within reason or whatnot)
Thanks,
Sebastian

Thanks for the canned response.. can I get a REAL response now?
Greetings Sebastian,
Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department.
Currently on your account DYEHEAD can delete your characters on Destromath, have your Dwarf Paladin character restored, transfer your Dwarf Paladin then have all your characters restored in with the use of a single limited restoration. I have noted your account so that Game Masters you deal with in game or via email can follow the instructions given:
1. Delete all your Horde characters on Destromath.
2. Place an in Game Petition or Email us at wowgm@blizzard.com and ask to have your Dwarf Paladin Hrangar on Destromath Restored- Be Sure to include that you wish to use a limited restoration for this..
3. Use our paid character transfer service to transfer your Paladin to another account or the realm of your choice.
4. Once your character has been transfered re-petition in and ask to have all your deleted characters restored. Be sure to Include name/class/race/realm and level. Please also instruct the Game Master to look at the notation that was placed on your account concerning this.
PLEASE NOTE: I will notate that you need to delete all the horde characters and have your restorations completed within the time span of one week.
Any deleted characters restored would be in the same condition they were deleted in, no more no less. If you are in an arena team you may miss out on some points if you are deleted during the calculation period. As well if you choose to go through with this you will most likely be denied future restorations to this account.
I hope I have given you enough information to make an educated decision on this.
