Swift Zulian Tiger

Only the deserving received the Tiger.

Swift Zulian Tiger was a mount that dropped off of High Priest Thekal (aka the Tiger Boss) in ZG. It only had ~2% drop rate so it was exceedingly rare. In addition to being a really slick looking mount it was also the only way that Horde could get a cat mount in Vanilla because the cat mounts were the Night Elf race mount and thus reserved for the Alliance. This alone made it highly sought after. With the 4.0 pre-Cata patch classic ZG was removed from the game and with it the Tiger mount.

Great Moments in Tiger History

• Atena and Manbeast ran ZG the day before the 4.0 pre-Cata patch removed it from the game. On this run the Tiger dropped and Atena won it. It was one of like 3 Tiger Boss kills Atena made in WotLK.
• Dippy ran ZG every week during WotLK trying to farm up the Tiger to no avail. To this day he is still super fucking salty about it.
• Occasionally the Tiger shows up on the BMAH and regularly goes for insane amounts of gold. Before the gold cap was raised, the only time it went up it went for gold cap almost immediately. Post gold cap increase it went for multiple millions of gold.

A worthy Atena mounts the Tiger.

Dippy was undeserving of the Tiger.
