Rune of the Guard Captain

Many a Rune were requested to be restored by GMs.

Rune of the Guard Captain was a Horde only quest reward trinket for a quest in the Hinterlands. The Hinterlands was far from a huge Horde questing zone so many people totally missed it and many that did receive the Rune vendored it as they got blue trinkets. However, the Rune of the Guard Captain was strictly better than most trinkets in the lvl 60 blue instances (Strath, Scholo, BRS). The fact that it had attack power and hit (arguably the most important stat for any melee dps in Vanilla) made it basically bonkers. After the value of hit was realized this was a highly sought after trinket and many that had deleted it would try to get it restored. The Rune and the Blackhands Breadth were a duo seen on many raiders that had not yet received the rare good raiding trinkets such as the Drake Fang Talisman.
