Not a terrible ring, but not many people wanted it for how many we got.
Ring of Blackrock is one of many items that can drop from the drakes (Firemaw, Flamegor, Ebonroc) Blackwing Lair]] in lieu of of higher-quality items such as the Rejuvenating Gem, the Drake Fang Talisman, and the Aegis of Preservation. The item is particularly infamous for its drop frequency, including (on one fateful BWL clear) three of them in one night.
