Neltharian's Tear was a trinket drop from Nefarian in BWL. It was the first raid trinket that actually had passive spell power on it. Often combined with the Briarwood Reed to increase passive spell power as much as possible. The only other caster options at the time were on use trinkets like ToEP which while useful for PvP were not terribly good for raid DPS. Surprisingly, CSM actually got a lot of these which was very unusual for good trinkets in the guild's history. In #1 feeder guild Clockwork legend had it that as soon as you got your Nelth's Tear CSM would recruit you.
