Darkmoon Cards
Darkmoon Cards are rewarded for collecting the Ace through the Eight of various sets of cards. The 8 cards are then combined into a deck and then turned in at the Darkmoon Faire for trinkets. There have been new Darkmoon Cards in every expansion. These trinkets have historically ranged from sub-garbage tier all the way to fully broken.
Vanilla
Kabal, replaced one of his Mindtap Talismans with Darkmoon Cards from time to time. Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon, which was more designed for a healer since it granted mana restoration as if you were outside of the 5 Second Rule. Not really ideal for a Mage, but hey neither is a fucking Mindtap Talisman. Man trinkets in Vanilla were fucking shit. Kabal would also sometimes put the Darkmoon Card: Twisting Nether on. He famously res'd 3 times with the card in a single Vaelastrasz attempt. Way better than Shaman ankh!
Legion
Arguably the strongest tank trinket in legion.
