Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire was a caster off-hand that dropped off of Onyxia.
Originally the skeleton summoned by the 'On Use' was lvl 76. Because of this if a Rogue vanished while the skeleton was attacking them he'd just keep wailing on them and break them out of stealth because he was such a high lvl. A few patches into Vanilla the skeleton was nerfed to be lvl 60.
Kabal received the first Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire and proceeded to have many shenanigans with it when the skeleton was still high level. Highlights include breaking both Voom and General Slipknot out of stealth when they were camping Kargath and murdering them.
