The Judge's Gavel

Design oversight at its finest.

The Judge's Gavel was a BoE 2h mace found in BRD or on the AH. At first glance the weapon seems pretty unimpressive. A 3 second stun proc sounds pretty decent but the mace has no other stats. The power of the weapon lay in its original incarnation similar to The Unstoppable Force. Originally the on hit was a proc that banished the target for 10 seconds. While banished the target was invulnerable and the banish could not be broken early. The spell effect for the banish was a set of shackles like used by the priest Shackle Undead spell. This was especially comical on large mobs such as Molten Giants in Molten Core. Huge sets of shackles would pop up and then everyone would be like "Oh come on, you're wasting our time" and shit like that.

But the true power of the Gavel was in Warsong Gulch. If you proc'd the mace on a flag carrier when they were banished they'd also drop the flag. This was especially effective against teams that had tanks carrying the flag surrounded by healers since it could be very difficult to kill them. Just waiting for a proc and clicking the flag was much easier. This was especially effective when employed by Shaman since they could put Windfury on the weapon. Windfury procs meant more chances at proc'ing the on hit and banishing idiots.
