Player History
Vanilla
Started playing a day or two Christmas of 2004 having received the game, user guide and a 60 day pre-paid gamecard as a gift. Spent the first two days studying the user guide before activating his account because he knew 60 days may be all he got. Eventually rolled as an orc shaman named Tralldahaum. As you'd expect from a 13 year-old in a family with one computer it was far more than 60 days before Tralldahaum reached max level. Unsurprisingly Tralldahaum sucked- a lot. His talents were split between all the trees and he had Hammer of the North wind equipped at level 60 just because it was purple (mostly healed shit because how else does a retarded 13 y/o find a grp). Additionally he was unable to find the path in durotar that led to the flame totem NPC at the appropriate time and thus never got the fire totem until well passed level 30. The first and last guild Tralldahaum remembers being in was <SEVEN DEADLY SINS> which was an obviously bad guild despite remembering no details about it, but the all caps guild name is an obvious tell. At this age Maka still spent more time playing sports than video games and as a result there would be months long breaks in between levelling bursts as he waited for a given sports season to end.
A couple months before the AQ release he gave up on his shit tier shaman and rerolled as a warlock on a new server after seeing how badass they were in the BC announcement cinematic. The goal was to name this character "Reaver" after the dope protoss unit but since it was taken he named the warlock Rever instead (what a dumb name). Once Rever hit max level he finally started to show signs of not being a total shit player and joined a raid team for some ZG and AQ20 shenanigans along side Grimace (the rogue that learned2fient). Eventually had to give up with the return of Rugby season and never played again until BC.
Burning Crusade
Still an idiot at 15, Maka pre-ordered the box set which never got to his house until several days after release. Vowing to never make this mistake again he struggled to catch up to his friends levels while still balancing school and sports. Eventually reached max level and did a ton of theorycrafting about talent specializations. The result was a tri spec (30/21/10 and later 41/9/11) that focused mainly on affliction while going deep enough into demo to get demonic sacrifice. With shitty gear this talent setup was ideal for pvp and raids since it maximized multi-dotting. During this time he spent most of his time pvping but eventually got to join some Gruul's Lair and SSC raids where he abused multidotting enough to accomplish a top 5 dps finish in shitty gear. The raid leaders were confused about this and asked what spec Rever was to which the warlock class lead at the time said "I don't know, some pvp spec." Since he couldn't regularly make raid times he mostly did arena and pvp with broken ass spells like howl of terror and death coil.
Eventually quit after constant heckling and fistfights with his brother over "gay wizard games" and was thought to have quit wow forever.
Wrath of the Lich King
Never played.
Cataclysm
After becoming roommates with Jamal, Jamal convinced him to try wow again and offered to let him use his account as he was going away for about a week. In this week Maka leveled a prot pally named farmfarmfarm to lvl 62. Having reignited his interest in wow he re-activated his own account using one of blizzards "free weeks" and created his first character on the Destromath server. And thus he set out to level yet another prot paladin- the glorious female tauren DerpDeeDerp. It happened to be super late in the expansion with Dragon Soul already on farm for most guilds it was super easy to gear up with heroics and valor points. He joined <Intergalactic> as the offtank and got to experience easy mode Dragon Soul and the first few fights on hardmode. Since it was so late in the expansion the guild's raid team eventually fell apart and called it quits for the expansion.
Mists of Pandaria
During the downtime between Cata and Mists Jamal's brother Dunbaron had returned from South Korea and finally met Maka. It was a comical meeting since they were both in the Universities Starcraft Club and Maka had hosted a finals viewing in the basement suite of his house while he was in Korea (which he made note of and mentioned upon his return). After some months of playing shitty games like league of legends we decided we'd start playing wow again with the release of the mists expansion. Keeping true to his nature of rerolling every expansion Maka tried the new monk class and rolled a female pandaran named Tattersaíl in Dunbaron's new guild <Methods of Madness>. Not too long after the launch of mists we found ourselves between semesters with nothing to do but play wow and convinced our 3 other room mates to start a 5 man levelling team ( and spammed dungeons in between safety meetings. Team:
Player | Class |
---|---|
Maka | as Verdict - Disc Priest |
Zorn | as Gankuskahn - Rogue |
Dunbaron | as DunbaronX - Hunter |
Jamal | as Hairm - Prot Pally |
Workman | as a shitty Arms Warrior |
Eventually around level 50 our weakest link(Workman) broke and shelved wow leaving the rest of us to return to our mains or in Dunbaron and Jamal's case finish leveling.
After getting bored of farming leather and maintaining his farm Maka rejoined <Intergalactic> and raided from Mogu'shan Vaults to shortly after the release of the Throne of Thunder as a mistweaver when he got bored and quit to focus on his studies.
Warlords of Draenor
Once again excited about the release of an expansion with too much time on their hands Maka and Dunbaron decided they would once again subscribe and see what they could achieve. True to his nature, Maka rerolled again this time as a Death Knight so he and Dunbaron could form the core healer/tank combo of any group. Most of the story for this expansion is chronicled under Borts Wort Blaze Sesh which describes the founding of their raid team up to the point where they joined CSM.
