The Greatest UBRS Ever Run

The Greatest UBRS Ever Run refers to an Upper Blackrock Spire run completed by members of CSM in late 2005, possibly in November. Participants in this instance fondly remember it as one of the most entertaining, memorable, and hilarious instance runs ever partaken. Additionally, it happened really really really late at night.

Origins

The true cause of the run is, at this time and to this writer, largely unknown. A glance at the participants in the run reveals several names who, by that time, had surely obtained all they could have used from the instance. One theory is that the run simply consists of a Bibafatty alt and fourteen people who were lucky enough to get to run an instance with the man.

Based on screenshots of the event, we may surmise that the run took place early in CSM's Blackwing Lair progression, likely after one of the first nights of Vaelastrasz wipes. The run took place roughly between midnight and 3:00 AM server time, the lateness of which no doubt contributed to the awesomeness and hilarity of the run (note the presence of several Eastern time raiders, for whom this raid finished at nearly 6:00 AM).

Historical Significance

"Kite him to Rend's room" most likely would have become an incredible internet fad, had it not been discovered shortly thereafter that an even more incredible raid strategy involved kitting Broodlord Lashlayer to Vael's room.
